An experimental type exploration of my childhood home. I letterpress printed wood type onto 11"x17" sheets of paper. I took these proofs to a xerox machine and I played with enlarging and double printing. I used cut up xeroxes of a photograph of my old house for the imagery. I then took these xeroxes and cut and pasted them together into a 36"x48" quilt. I wanted to output this as a flat poster and the cut and paste nature would get caught up in the large format scanners. I digitally photographed the quilt, and did some light photoshop adjustments. This digital file was then output through a large format xerox machine at 36"x48". Subsequent versions were enhanced and printed digitally.
